This microlot coffee is a single-origin offering from the only coffee-growing region in Madhya Pradesh, Central India, specifically from the Kukru village forest. This fertile region, ideal for horticultural production, imparts unique characteristics to the 100% ripe cherries used for this coffee.
Organically certified, this is one of the rarest forest-grown coffees, untouched by human intervention for around 80 years. The cherries are carefully handpicked by the local Korku tribe and undergo a 24-hour anaerobic fermentation process. Following fermentation, the beans are dried for 40 days, with meticulous racking every 2 hours to ensure consistent quality.
The roast profile has been crafted to preserve the coffee’s natural flavor notes. With low acidity and bitterness, this coffee offers a balanced, medium-bodied cup that is perfect for a refined and enjoyable experience.
