Aeropress

Brew with Aeropress

Aeropress, versatile and ease

Learn how to use the Aeropress with instructions on getting the best espresso at home.

Here’s our step-by-step guide

Gear

• Aeropress
• Gas/electric stove top
• Grinderℹ︎
• Scales
• Mug(s)

Goods

• 16g of coffee beans

• 300g (mL) of heated water♨︎

• Just a dash of milk (optional)

✎: We recommend using a kettle because it offers higher pouring precision. However, if you don’t have one, you can always use a standard one or literally any pouring source. Your coffee, your rules.

ℹ︎: If you don’t have a grinder, that’s OK! You can always use pre-ground coffee, though we recommend freshly ground because it does elevate the flavour of each brew.

♨︎: In our recipes, we measure water in grams because we use scales, and it’s easy to achieve precision this way. However, if you don’t have scales, the conversion is easy: 1g=1mL.

Step 1 : Put in the filter paper

Grab your cap from the Aeropress and placie in it a paper filter

Step 2 : Join cap and body

Lock the cap in main body, tightening it gently but securely.

Step 3 : On the cup

Keep the aeropress on a cup, with cap side facing downwards

Pour in a little water to rinse out the filter paper. Discard that water.

Step 4 : Adding beans

Put in beans, pour in rest of the water and agitate it for 5 to 10 seconds with scoop.

Step 5 : Brewing

But on the plunger, but don't plunge it yet. Wait for around a minute to minute and thirty seconds

After a while, push down the plunger with a little force. Plunge all the way down till you feel resistance.
