Here’s our step-by-step guide

Gear

• Hario Cold Brew Pot
• Grinderℹ︎
• Scales
• Timer
• Stirring tool
• Mug(s)

Goods

• 70g – 80g of coffee beans
• 1000g (1 Liter) water

• Cold milk (optional)

✎: We recommend using a kettle because it offers higher pouring precision. However, if you don’t have one, you can always use a standard one or literally any pouring source. Your coffee, your rules.

ℹ︎: If you don’t have a grinder, that’s OK! You can always use pre-ground coffee, though we recommend freshly ground because it does elevate the flavour of each brew.

♨︎: In our recipes, we measure water in grams because we use scales, and it’s easy to achieve precision this way. However, if you don’t have scales, the conversion is easy: 1g=1mL.

Step 1 : Add Coffee

Put in your coffee into the filter basket .

Put the filter basket inside your brew pot

Step 2 : Add Water

Pour in room temperature water.

Make sure to wet all the grinds while pouring in the water. You can stir the grinds if water is taking too much time to fill.

Step 3 : Refrigerate

Put on the top and kept the brewer in refrigerator for at least 12 hours.

You can experiment with time according to your coffee blends, but never leave coffee grinds in for more than 24 hours in order to aviod over extraction.

Step 4 : Take out the grind

You can take out the filter basket and discard the grinds.

You can store coffee after discarding the grounds for up to two weeks in your refrigerator.

Step 5 : Serve

Pour out the coffee.

You can drink it as is, over the ice or add some water or cold milk to dilute your coffee.
